About MESA

Columbia Clinic

Thank you for your participation in our study, the Multi Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosis (MESA). Without your participation, it would not have been possible to conduct the study. MESA has been highly successful and is known all over the world for contributions to the field of cardiovascular and pulmonary disease epidemiology.

The scientific integrity of our study depends heavily on your participation. Every member of MESA adds value to the findings of the study. MESA has published more than 1,100 papers in scientific journals, contributing to our understanding of the natural history and development of cardiovascular diseases and other diseases such as lung disease.

We are grateful for all of the time you have given, more than 10 years to MESA. We want to emphasize how important ongoing participation is to MESA. Your current participation with the follow up phone calls is a substantial contribution. Please stay with us.

Please, call at 212-305-9932 if you want to contact us.

Having graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Stony Brook University, I have enjoyed my interactions with people. I became a part of the MESA team in 2010 and have since developed a lasting rapport with the staff and participants. I take great pleasure and satisfaction in the work we do and thanks to the camaraderie and professionalism of the MESA team, I look forward to every work day.
